Check out the tips below to help you prepare for your photo session, ensuring that you arrive fresh and looking your best!
Senior Portraits
All Seniors
- DO NOT get too much sun the week of your session! We can retouch light tan lines, but we cannot retouch sunburn. We will need to reschedule your session if you are sunburned!
- DO NOT wear stripes and bold prints - they do not photograph well.
- DO NOT bring your clothes wrinkled up in a ball inside of a backpack or bag! Wrinkled clothes will look wrinkled in your portrait!
- DO iron your clothes and bring them hanging on hangers; we’ll help you carry them into the dressing room.
- DO bring your school ring.
- DO bring a variety of outfits - some casual and some more formal. Include a range of colors. You choose a couple outfits and let Mom or Dad choose one or two, and that way everyone is happy.
- DO try to choose outfits that will be in style next year so your portraits don’t look dated in a year or two. Traditional styles stand the test of time and keep your portrait looking fresh for years to come.
- DO feel free to bring your own props - musical instrument, dance shoes and outfits, vehicle, sports uniform, cheerleading uniform, sports equipment or anything else you feel will show your style. Props can help show off your personality and the types of activities you are involved in.
Senior Girls
- DO NOT forget your lip gloss or lipstick!
- DO bring jewelry to coordinate with each outfit.
- DO make sure your nails are free of any chipped, peeling polish (hands and feet).
- DO wear a camisole to make wardrobe changes easier.
Senior Guys
- DO NOT wear a hat before your session!
- DO shave right before your session…no 5 o’clock shadow, please!
